We are so delighted to have good participation of youth leaders at convention.
Updated forms for 2019
Please note that we have updated all our forms this year, so please print new copies for all entries to avoid mix up, confusion, and frustration.
Evening youth group time – *New in 2019*
Something new this year, after each evening session, we will set aside 15 minutes for youth to meet with their youth leaders. This is a time to review or reinforce the Bible teaching or challenge from the evening session and/or set plans for the remainder of the evening or the next day. For smaller youth groups, you may want to group with other youth groups.
Leader/parent meeting
As the youth depart after the first session on Sunday, we meet with the youth leaders and parents to discuss the week and highlight any areas that we could still use help in. There are plenty of optional opportunities for you to help with many of the activities throughout the week.
Off campus
You have the freedom to take your youth group off campus, but we ask that you please sign them out (and back in) in the IFCA office, so we know where students are during convention.
Other convention activities
You are also invited to participate in many convention activities: 5K, adult volleyball teams, choir, and orchestra.
Convention is a great time for youth groups to come together but also a great opportunity to meet many new people or churches around the country.
One of the best things you can provide as a youth leader is prayer for the youth throughout the week and beyond, because we know that the real battle is an unseen war [Eph 6:12].
How can we improve?
We are always looking for improvements, so if you have suggestions, please let us know. You can contact us through this website or at convention in the IFCA office or spot us wearing the matching IFCA shirts each day.
Share the news!
The remaining 51 weeks of the year outside of Convention, you are among our strongest advocates. Sharing what convention is like and what it provides with youth, adults, and other churches. If it adds value for you, your youth, and your church, we’d love to share that value with others as well.
Thank you for all you do!
