Who Are The Victims? An introduction overview that raises awareness about human trafficking. This session educates, empowers and engages its audience. We discuss the who, what, where, why, when and how of the crime. It helps to debunk myths and clarify the reality of this crime. It also provides various ways for attendees of any age to get involved in our fight and also walk away with ways to protect ourselves and others. This interactive session arms you with knowledge to fight this crime and stay safe. Awareness saves lives!
Warning Lights gives insight on how human trafficking is often a relationship-based crime. It reveals the lures, signs and ways to respond to human trafficking. This program will give your audience of youth and young adults a stronger sense of how to protect themselves and others. The awareness gained by your audience can literally save a life. This program encourages open communication about some common ongoing social struggles and concerns (including peer pressure, oral sex and pornography) that are faced on a daily basis. This program also shares ways to help others avoid becoming victims by explaining how your actions, words and choices affect others.
TECHNOLOGY: Trustworthy or Targeting – Are you on Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, AskFM or Facebook? Are you a “gamer” chatting on Discord, viewing on Twitch or playing games like Fortnite? Do you use social media to stay connected? Well, this session is not about teaching you how to use these apps. This session is about teaching you how to stay safe and educate you on how predators of human trafficking use apps, the internet and technology to lure victims into the crime. It’s about being honest and recognizing the unsafe choices you may be making while using various types of technology. We will come together to discuss a few steps that you can take to help keep you (your friends and family) safe.
